I didn't get in any seat time, but I got all the wiring done, added a work lite to the back fender and I'm ready to haul her back out to the boonies so I can put her back to work. I probably won't get to use it till next week tho, going to North Carolina to see the grandkids the rest of this week, then I'll get to work with my new toothbar on the FEL - look out rocks and stumps!

moved a big pile of loam! Weather was great up here - just about 70 both days, and oh boy did I get a sunburn! Get this...the neighbors sold their house and moved out this weekend. House is only 1 year old, and the builder left all the topsoil in one big pile when he finished the place. Turns out the new buyers didn't want it. In fact, they insisted on signing a document saying that it would be all gone before closing. So our old neighbors called me up and asked if I would take it away. I gladly obliged, and also got a six pack for my troubles! Now that's a good weekend!

I didn't get enough seat time, but did get a lot done.
Saturday:
Turned the manure pile and cleaned it from the winter. Now that the snow and ice is gone (mostly), I tried to clean out the winter paddock. But this is mud season afterall. Cleaned the barn and got ready for the farrier. We had to bring the horses down to the garage, because it's too muddy to get his truck to the barn.
Sunday:
Walked through the christmas tree field (planted last June) to do a head count and see how many made it through the winter. Still too early to do a headcount of the raspberries. Clean the barn again. I did get to walk around one of my vernal pools and listen to the peepers. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Spent Sunday morning converting the tractor from winter mode to summer mode: unhooked the snowblower and subframe, pulled the MMM out of the garage, put the snowblower in its place; hooked up the MMM and loader; greased everything up; spent the next hour or two hooking up the Trac-Vac.

Sunday afternoon I picked up leaves. Oak trees are lots of fun; I picked up 22 trailer loads last fall. Another 4 trailer loads on Sunday. I figure each trailer load is about 12-15 bags.

But it was a nice afternoon, 60 degrees and sunny. And the wife appreciates the tractor more than ever.

Did you know that you can't leave the seat with the rear PTO engaged? Darn shame I couldn't get off the tractor and help my wife rake.

Next week I hope to try out the box blade.

Got out the overseeder, overseeded the lawn, and the horse pasture. Then put the box blade on, leveled the driveway, then the county road that they never grade. Wife wanted some garden dirt moved, did that, finished it all up by giving my green baby a bath, put her away all snug, snowed 12 inches the next day... /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
