Dealer So when is the dealers meeting??

Looks like a redesign on the gas pedal. Separate forward and reverse pedal. In some of the pics you can see different styles of the pedal?? Are they undecided on which one to use?

A lot of improvements -
2 inches more ground clearance,
Halogen headlights,
more fuel capacity,
40A alternator standard,
12V outlet,
Tach,

What type of valve is there on the current BX series? The specs you listed say a quarter inching valve on the new BX but NA on the BX2230 which I would assume to mean the quarter inching valve is an upgrade. I was never clear on what the difference is on the different types of valves you can get on the 3pt hitches.

Somebody else mentioned that it only looks like two pedals. They still connect to one lever, but it is now below the deck.

I also noticed more hydraulic flow and larger front tires, and in the brocheure every one of those features are highlighted.
As for the 3pt control, with position control like the b3030 you move the lever to a number and the 3pt goes to the same place every time and it stays there. With quarter inching, you can move the 3pt a quarter inch at a time to the spot you want, which is an improvement over what the BX has now which takes some skill to get the 3pt to go the same spot every time.

With all of these improvements it is going to be hard to come up with an excuse not to upgrade from my BX23 /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Two other things I noticed is the differential lock is now heel operated like on some of the big tractors, and the dealer said that the hood latch was completely redesigned, I guess that was a problem in the past. My dealer said that Kubota told them to not expect any to be available until next Sept/Oct, I guess that makes sense, new B3030's didn't show up till about May.

So the loader bucket is now a 54" instead of the old 48" ? In the pictures it looks like pretty much the same bucket as the BX23.

Jim
The bucket width on the LA240 loader (on the BX24) is still 48". The roll back has increased 29 degrees, the stablizer stands now are lowered from one side, breakout has increased 50% and the loader arms are curved. The new loaders for the BX's are pretty neat.

I saw the previous poster's message that mentioned the 54" bucket which is why I asked. I would rather have a 48" bucket on a tractor this size anyway - the added bucket width makes for harder digging in tough soil. With the 50% added breakout and the little bit of added lift capacity it ought to make the LA240 perform the way I always wished the LA211 on my BX23 would have performed. I'll have to wait until next year when the BX24's hit the dealer lots and take a good look at one - by then I should have paid off my BX23 and put another 100 or so hours on it - a new tractor might be really enticing... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
