I have learned this as of late.

The only thing I can say is our Vermont soapstone farmhouse sink is over 10 years old and like fine antiques has developed a patina that changes with use,hence the beauty of the product.
Whenever the mood strikes we wipe it down with toung oil while oiling the laminated maple counter tops and like it's owners we are aged to perfection.
