Pulled my tractor for the first time yesterday... 2023 Mahindra 5155 with FEL and loaded tires. The trailer pulled flawlessly.

Took the Mahindra for it's initial 50 hour service, and I am a fan of this trailer. Much easier to get around than that 35+5 Big Tex Gooseneck... although I know it's apples to bananas.

(Edited) Another non bumper pull type is a 5th wheel hitch.

“Bumper pull hitch or bumper hitch” is an old and outdated term that goes back to the days when hitches were physically attached to the bumper. Todays reciever hitches are attached to the frame not the bumper but some old folks like me still refer to them as such.

The old bumpers were structurally solid. The vehicle’s jacks were even designed to lift the vehicle via the bumper. Some shop jacks could lift the whole front end or the whole rear end using the bumper.

Vehicles today are designed to fold up in an accident to minimize the impact on passengers. They bumpers can’t hold crappola.
The last car I was able to use my Bumper Hitch is grandma's 1975 Granada.

We used it to bring the 35hp outboard 10 blocks to the ramp.

My Ram is a 2020 3500 DRW with the Max Tow package. It has 4.10 gears, the Cummins HO and Aisin, along with the Ram Air Ride auto level suspension. Pulling my 5th wheel toy hauler up to West Virginia to ride the Hatfield / McCoy trails, fully loaded, I was pulling right at 20k pounds. I got a hand calculated 9.8 mpg average. My truck is completely stock now, I do want to get rid of the DEF / AGR stuff. I still also need to delete the grid heater.

60k miles of absolute flawless performance. RAM did change out my CP4 fuel pump to the CP3. No issues.

I love this truck!
I have the same truck. Love it as a daily driver and a towing machine.

A former colleague replaced the bumper on his Mercedes 190D by a 80x80x8mm tube in his student era, the original chrome "bumper" covered it nicely. When he rear ended someone, the police was surprised he shortened their trunk by half a foot, whilst incurring minimal damage himself...

I shouldn't have jinxed myself with that post. Hopped in the truck this afternoon. Pushed the button watched the heater grid count down, then nothing but a click. Pushed it again and same thing.
I just bought new batteries 2 months ago, but everything I am reading says one of the batteries isn't up to par. I tested them today, but neglected to pull the cables off of both batteries at the same time so the batteries would be tested free and clear of each other. Tomorrow morning will be nice and freezing cold. Just what I don't want to do in this weather.

Mine is a 2020... I had to replace both batteries last year. I feel your pain!
