Sole Branson dealer in Australia gone bust

Sadly Branson seems to have wiped its hands of customers in Australia. They said the warranty was offered by the dealer not Branson (even though it was sold as a factory warranty). The new company, Brismac, is in the name of the former director of Midway's wife so seems very suspect and could be just to avoid warranty and debtors...the new company won't honour warranty on the tractors they sold, up until March 2020, under the Midway trading name.

That does not make any sense. Does your owners manual speak about the warranty?

Did you actually hear that from someone at Branson or did this "new" dealer tell you that? If this is truly Branson's response, I would be looking for a new tractor from another dealer!

hmm if they are truly going to be a branson dealer they have to honor a Branson warranty no matter where it was purchased, that's a big thing they mention when you sign up to be a dealer with them, i know it's caused a few dealers here in texas to be dropped by Branson for failing to honor their equipments warranty because the customer bought it at a different dealer than where they took it to be repaired at, and that dealership got their panties in a bunch about the customer not buying it from them.
I would Contact Branson HQ - 617 3807 3008 they should set them straight about the issue. ( Bear in mind this is how they do things here in the US, but it should be the same way there as well.)

Branson Korea said they don't give multi year factory warranties. Here in Australia theywere sold with a 4 year warranty and now Branson Korea is saying that was from the dealer not Branson.

really?... who exactly did you talk to about it? specifically a name i can forward to Mr. lee the president of Branson, he is a good friend of the owner of the Dealership i work for. i'd like to see what he has to say about it, because the last time i spoke to him and we were discussing warrnty type situations, he said the 2 year bumper to bumper warranties and the 6 year powertrain warranties were standard on all their equipment.

From the Branson website:

"SIX YEAR WARRANTY*

We cover bumper to bumper for 1000 hours or two years and 2000 hours or six years on the engine and power train*. (*The 7845 & 8050 models are 2000 hours or four years on the engine and power train.)"

If they're going to make orphans, at least they could offer Foster Care.

That could be Branson USA...Branson Korea have said they don't offer multiple year warranty...sadly the rest of the world doesn't get treated that same as you American cousins :frown:

either way i sent a link to this forum post via email to Branson's President(Korea not US though i did CC him in the email too) While i cant Promise you something will come of my doing this, i just don't think its right how you guys are being treated about this issue, so i wanted to at least bring it to Mr. Lee's attention.

I need to check my warranty tomorrow but we also only get 2 year warranty bumper to bumper and the same 2 year for the engine and power train here in Europe. I'm pretty sure that's all we get but I need to confirm that.

Thanks to you all, Asteral especially, for your efforts. Down in Oz we regularly get shafted by multi-nationals ...the other Branson (pom who launched Virgin airways) hooked in all the mom and pop investors to his grand plan of Virgin Air and it has just gone belly up...he's a multi billionaire (along with all of his partners) charging the company $10m a year to use the virgin name and now it has folded owing investors and creditors billions! He knew nothing about airlines and put none of his $ into it but somehow he expects the Oz and UK govt to bail him out!!! Just another example of how multi million\billion$ companies exploit the people of a nation for personal gain...sorry for the rant...it is ANZAC day here in Oz and I'm feeling particularly morose about the exploitation of the 'everyman' by the elite...how's that old saying go...'when the rich declare war it is the poor who die'
