i went to the vets today to drop off my two chihuahas to get fixed and i seen they had two camo 500's man i thought they was mules at first. them are some sharp lookin little machines.

So far so good..I was concerned about the power, but I found out that the VHT gears down if you let off the gas when it starts to slow down. Believe it or not that works. Got the snow plow for it this weekend...Holy cow is that a heavy duty unit. Hasn't snowed enough to use it yet, that will be the ultimate test. I have 1000 feet of road to plow so we'll see.
Accessory prices are really high..Hopefully the aftermarket comes around.

Seems to be really well built, handles well, climbs like a goat and is really quiet.

Also the size is an advatage for me, it's about 3/4 the size of a gator. So maneuvering it in tight spaces is no problem.

I would recomment it for general use.

what kinda after market stuff you lookin for?? i have a set of bed rails and chainsaw holder and weedeater holder atachments for a person but i can post pictures of them when they finished.

Well, we got 9 or so inches of snow this weekend. The 500 did far better than I expected. It never ran out of power. Did 9 driveways of 100+ feet in length.
Observation: The plow is too heavy for loose gravel, if you have a paved driveway, it's perfect.
I had to create a buffer between the cutting edge and the ground with a piece of urethane. I welded together 2 pieces of 1/8 inch plate and placed the urethane between that and the cutting edge with stainless bolts. Also, I ground off the 90 degree edges to prevent digging.
The skid shoes don't make it to the ground, let alone lift it. I told a Kubota service rep about thus, and he said they would weld extensions on to them. I told him he has to be kidding, this is a $1500 plow. So I was told to pound salt and wait for a corporate solution. Not good for something that cost's this kind of money.
