... The Kubota Canada MSRP prices are still pretty much in the stratosphere. A L3240HSTC with no loader has an MSRP of about $29k. They seem to have monthly programs but it is surprising to me that they haven't just done a general MSRP reduction like John Deere has for Canada to compete with the cross border sales and with JD, Kioti and Mahindra...

All in all, fun to check out some tractors.

Canoetrpr, thanks for the show report. I wanted to go to the show on Sunday but all of the roads in Grey County were closed because of the snow storm. With those prices I understand why all the grey marketers are doing so well selling Kubota tractors.

I noticed the 2800lb lift capacity on that Landini. I wonder how many Kubotas it has to hang off the 3pt hitch to keep the rear wheels on the ground? :D

Northland..seems like either the man upstairs likes you somethin' special or I just recently got arss raped. I bought a new 3203 JD and the same blower from a JD dealer near me in the fall. I just checked my bill of sale and saw $1800 for a C60 Agro Trend blower. I am really a big fan of good used stuff, especially when I hear cases like yours.....Wooooooooooow.
Luremaker(did I get that right? bad short term memory apparently).. where abouts in Grey you hiding?(I'm near Maxwell/Flesherton) We did get a bit of a dumping the other day, but man, is it me or have they been slackin' in the last year or two up here with the snow removal? Five years ago when we moved here, they passed my side road twice by the time I left at 6am, but now, and with what seems to be a lighter snow fall, they don't get by once by the time I leave. Where the heck is all the money that they are saving on this going?

Yes, Hydrovane- the unit was like brand new with the stickers in perfect condition and hardly any paint even worn off. I doubt it had more then 10 hours on it. I paid $700 which is a great deal considering a new one is $1900 + tax at most dealers.

I spent a lot of time checking web site classfieds for the past few months including craiglists in northern Michigan until I found this deal.

It was used on an old Ford tractor that didn't have a live PTO so the unit stopped churning all the time. No wonder it didn't get any use.

It had an adaptor attached to the PTO shaft and that adaptor wouldn't fit my tractor's PTO. Through TBN I figured out some old tractors used a smaller diameter (1 1/8 vs 1/3/8") PTO drive. It took me some time to figure out how it would come off and even then I had to use a hammer as it was on tight-probably for 10 years or more.

I finally got the snow blower on and working but my cheap Chinese pos quick hitches (free sample courtesy of Tractor Supply's Head Office) kept popping the pins out so I had to remove the quick hitches and put the blower right on the 3pt arms. Wrestling with those using a crow bar and then putting the top link on is always a huge hassle. I need to buy a good quick hitch next.

Once I got it on again it worked great until I broke the shear screw (holds the rod with the drive shaft connecting to the chain) while digging my hard mountain of snow beside the house.

The snow blower worked very well @ 2600 RPM but I didn't like all that snow blowing back in face:( . Rear blades don't do that but I suppose having a cab and/or a front blower would solve that problem too huh? For now my ski googles and a balaclava will have to suffice.

I live north/west of Owen Sound in north Grey (formally Keppel Township). I Know the area around Maxwell well. My kids have friends who live in the area and I get to taxi them there all the time. Lot's of folks in South Grey seem to be unhappy with the lack of snow removal this winter. My road is always plowed by 6:00 am so no complaints here. Nice to meet locals on the tbn.

One thing that caught me off guard was that Landini and Mcormick had some pretty nice compacts. They appear to be identical and very much the same as the Massey compact that I saw there. Seems like there are one or two factories in South Korea that are churning out a lot of different brands of compacts. They also seemed to be very similar to some Mahindras. All seem to have Mitsubishi engines and the fit and finish was quite nice. Loader capacities were pretty awesome too - ~2200 lb.
All Massey compacts are made by Iseki in Japan.

Jerry: Are they rebadged Iseki's that are sold as Iseki elsewhere, or models that are manufactured by Iseki for MF?

WilliamBos: Thanks for posting. I quite enjoyed seeing the slides. I've been meaning to check out the MFs and the local dealer is supposed to be good. I don't see nearly as many of the newer compacts around from MF as I do from JD and Kubota around though.
