With the shift lever (the one to the right of the steering wheel) in neutral, reach down with your left hand to the lever that selects hi or lo and be sure that the lever is FULLY ... POSITIVELY ... ENGAGED in one of the two ranges (hi or lo).
Then, try putting her in gear.
If my suggestion doesn't work, read this. Especially the post from Slacker where he talks about using a nail to substitute for a roll pin. Your problem, if it still exists, could be solved with a 3 cent nail.
