I've run out of possible sources for a quick attach for the bucket and forks for my JD790 with 70 loader. I have searched the net, had my local dealer looking and all we could find as a possible source was Kasco. But it seems that they do not make one for the JD790 and 70 loader, but they would be willing to make one for $775. This is a little high for a what appears a fairly simple design. Going back thru the posting, there is a attachment showing one on a New Holland, with lots of free play on each side of the loader arm. Does anyone know what's the distance is from inside to inside and outside to outside of the bracket for loader arms is? Another possible solution is to make my own, but I would like to maintain capatability with standard skid steer mounts. Does anyone know where one could purchase the loader arm part without the loader arm ears? Some one should be making them for adapting to bobcat attachments. They I could make my own attachment mounts that would fit. Thanks for any help or ideas in advance.

Have you considered looking for a dead skid loader in a junkyard (sorry, equipment recycling center) and taking what you need from there?

Would any of these help?

I would imagine you have tried ATI Corp. I would imagine they could put one together for you,if not you could probably get them to send you a plate with no "ears"welded to it , then you could have a welder (or yourself if you're capable)cut the ears off your existing buket and weld them on to the quick tach.I would imagine a good welding shop could fabricate the whole thing for you also,it just depends how badly you want the quick tach.

You Might try the folks at GB Loaders. I have a GB 260 on a 4300 with the quick tacth bucket (skid steer compatable) This pins on the loader in place of your bucket and the bucket or pallet forks attach to the QT. If you need measurements on GB let me know, I don't know if our loader arms are the same ID & OD.

What a coincidence. Tommorrow, I'm going to spend a few hours in my shop welding some JD quick-tach brackets and pins to a homemade set of forks. Then they will quick-tach to my 410 loader just like the factory bucket. Go to your JD dealer parts dept. and order a set of the weld-on quick-tach brackets and pins (about $35 total). Then you can weld these to a bar on any fork assembly. You could easily buy a skidsteer fork assembly and attach these brackets, or do what I did and fabricate the whole thing.

That was my New Holland with the Quick Tach system with all of the play. I haven't run out and measured it but here is what I can tell you from some notes I had taken earlier. The openings for the loader arms are 3.5" wide and are 40" from center to center. So the inside to inside should be 36.5" and the outside to outside should be 43.5". My Quick Tach system did come from Kasco and other than all the play seems quite well made. I have since made some spacers for it but haven't really used it much to see if they will hold up. My 48" Quick Tach pallet forks came from ATI and are extremely heavy duty (so was the price).

I just finished up my forks with the JD quick attach brackets. I just realized that you are looking for a skid-steer quick-tach bracket. I have an idea -buy the JD quick-tach backets and weld them to a steel plate or frame. Then weld a skid-steer quick tach bracket to this assembly. Kinda an extra step, but I don't see why this wouldn't work. By the way, when you weld up the JD quick-tach pins, make sure that the lynch-pin hole is vertical to the ground. I discovered that I had one positioned hortizonal after it was welded tight -OOPS. Now I just have to live with it. It makes the pin much more difficult to install and remove.
