Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

When JohnDeere2210 told me he had compared the two loaders side by side and the lift heights were the same, he also mentioned that the 200CX stuck a good 12" further out front than the 210. I guess that is part of the visibility improvement, but it would seem to me that the weight further out would at a minimum need more ballasting, but probably reduce the lift capacity??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Anyway, I'm thinking that I'm glad I have the 210. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Further out front will definately lower lift capacity...
Deere has specs that break down the capacity even
further,,, at the hinge pin compared to at the cutting edge of the bucket. It's amazing how much you lose every few inches you put the load further ahead.

I've never looked into that particular loader, but I recently started a thread on bucket capacity versus loader capcity. The thread eventually evolved into a discussion of loader capacity at various measurement points, and also 3pt hitch capacity at the ball ends versus 24" behind the ball ends. Brands may vary slightly, but to go from the pivot point to the center of the bucket, the capacity seems to drop roughly 35% (+/- 5%). I don't think most people understand that and I don't think most marketing departments want to publish the lower numbers, even if they are more realistic to end users. But don't fault John Deere for this practice, from my research, most of the companies are now listing capacity at the pivot point (which is a shame!).

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

Just to give you an idea of what kind of weight the 200cx loader will lift. We were doing some concrete work last week. The concrete truck couldn’t back into were we were pouring about 150’ away. We ended up filling the 53” bucket with concrete 27 times right to the top, driving the 150’ and lifting it 6’ over a block wall and dumping it. Now, I had 18 of the small 42 lb. Deere cast iron suit case weights in the rear ballast box 752 lbs, and rear ballast box weight what ever that is. The driver figured we were lifting 800 lbs. plus with the loader, over 6’ high. Can’t ask to much more from a tractor the size of a 2210? The front tires looked like they were ready to pop, but other then that the loader never missed a beat.

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

Lobo,

It's really quite remarkable how productive these little machines are. Just a few weeks ago there was a post about the lifting capacity of the 210 which went something like this:

750 lbs to full height (68")
800 lbs to 61"
850 lbs to 51"
900 lbs to 45"
950 lbs to 38" and 1170 lbs to 16"

/forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif Sounds like you gave yours a good work out!

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

I'm really surprised by this. So Now Deere's 24Hp Flagship subcompact has the same lift capacity as Kubota's 15Hp tractor. I hope the visibilty improvments are worth the loss of capacity.

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

I know it had to be 800 lbs plus, because a couple of times I jerked the tractor coming up on the wall and it rised the rear wheels a hair. With all that ballast.

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

My dealer said the lift capicity of the 200CX is 800LBS full height with the proper ballasts , But I'm not sure were he got his #'s from other that he was looking at his computer screen.

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

Well I think we need someone to do a scientific test with the 200CX as was done with the 210.

Anyone got some weights? /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

Re: Spec\'s of the a 200CX loader on a JD 2210?

Without a doubt the loader could have lifted much more weight. Wasn't even a sign of struggling when lifting. Had the bucket almost up all the way a couple of times to clear some obstructions before dumping.
