Toplink Spence, hydraulic top link questions

Mosey,
I have attached a picture of the hoses. The shorter one measures 18" and the long one measures 27". Those measurements are just the hoses themselves and do not include the fittings (except where the hose is crimped inside the fittings).

I am not saying that these lengths are ideal. They work fine for me but I am sure someone else has a better solution.

Boy that is dirty, I thought mine was bad. I see why you were able to make your toplink fit in that hook, it looks a little smaller in diameter than mine.

I was thinking about attaching a hook wire loop or ring to the cylinder using a large hose clamp (like the ones I always used to mount a tachometer to the top of a steering column), then put the hook on the existing loop. I'll see if that will work when I actually get mine and let you know.

<font color=blue>The only problem with it is that its diameter is so much larger than the factory toplink that there is no way to use the nice hook New Holland supplies to hold the toplink while it is not in use.</font color=blue>

I just partly unbent the hook on my NH TC33D untill it was wide enough to go around the hydraulic toplink (Tisco). Works fine, and still works on the original toplink as well.

Spence - Nope, not yet. This is a busy and expensive time of year for me. My twins birthday is July 5th and last year we started a tradition of going on a vacation to someplace fun, like an amusement park, for part of their birthday present. Then we have the birthday party. So, I've been busy with getting ready for that and now it will take a week to recover from it and get caught up on things. Plus, we're in the middle of refinancing the mortgage (the rates dropped again a couple weeks ago). But, I hope to make the call in the next couple of weeks.

Well, I made the call yesterday and ordered the top link from Gearmore. So, it's in the way. I should be able to get the hoses for it next week and have it on the tractor by next weekend.

The cylinder got here Wed and I got the hoses made right here in town, so I should have it on this weekend. I ended up paying $39 for the hoses and fittings, but I got their top quality hoses that are supposed to be good for over 4000PSI, which is probably more than I need, but I've spent so much on the cylinder I figured I might as well not go cheap on the hoses. I couldn't get everything at TSC because all they had were hoses that have pipe thread at both ends and the cylinder requires 9/16" O-Ring Boss fittings and TSC didn't have the adapters.
