My oldest son spent a year on Spitzbergen, studying. He won a prize for this photo. It is a skier with a head lamp Telemarking down a mountainside on Svalbard (Spitzbergen) during the long, but not totally dark, artic night

OK, I'll bite, Gunnar. I can see how that photo could be unique enough and interesting enough to win a prize, but what is it? I'll take a guess and see if I'm seeing it right; a time delay photo of a skier coming down from the top carrying some kind of light.

I forgot the first time, so I edited. This is what it says under his pic;
Endre Før Gjermundsen skiing telemark downslope from the Sarkofag mountain. Approximally 2.5 minutes exposure time with Nikon F2 camera. Lens: Nikkor 50 mm f/1.4 set to f/8.

I liked the photos on his homepage also, especially the basalt columns and the volcano eruptions. Great seeing other people and places on this rock we live on.
