Split Brakes on a CUT. Necessary?

With 4wheel drive, i dont break traction that much and when I do I step on the diff lock pedal.I've never unlocked bar that holds the two brake pedals together.Lack of split brakes is absolutely a 'nothing Burger'.
Same here.
I have split brakes and never feel the need to unlock the bar to use them.

Not in my manure pile, or in slime on a side hill. Diff lock favors straight ahead and where steering is challenged youre out of luck. Split brake use is tailorable to the situational need, but where it shines is in directional control in extreme conditions.
Every tractor operator can benefit from split brakes. This benefit will come in extremely varied and frequent circumstances to those who really know how to use them. The situations of benefit will not be restricted to unpredictable terrain or transient traction conditions, but will present potential benefit it every situation of direction control or traction control. In some of these cases they will be essential to enable efficient work w/o excess maneuvering. In others they will prevent embarrassment or death. It is a good thing if your tractor is set up in a way that allows you to use them conveniently -- its a poor mans traction/direction control, unlike the virtually identical application of the same idea under computer control in high end cars. Nothing you cant do with your feet at tractor speed, assuming your tractor does not tangle them up. :)

I am not trying to sell an LS here, but I found this in the "more specifications" Ergonomically Designed 3-Point Hitch Controls

Easily accessible for maximum comfort and convenience with hydraulic position control.

The thing about web sites is they all suck big time when you are trying to compare feature for feature. I think they do this on purpose. :)
Okay so I believe you're right. I found the brochure for the XR3100 series and it says "Position/Draft" control.

What the H*** does "position.draft" control have to do with split brakes?

Are there two threads going? How confusing can we make it?

Haha. Sorry. It went from a discussion about the importance of split brakes in my future CUT purchase to a discussion about what I was willing to give up (if anything) in order to get split brakes.

OP wants a number of features. In the size range oi interest there is difficulty finding them all in one tractor. He is trying to prioritize.
