Where can I get a spreader for my 2305? It doesn't "have" to be a JD brand, I just need one for fertilizer and lime on occasion.

I purchased this one from thesmartfarmer.com -- so far I have been nothing but pleased with it:
Cost was $299 plus freight.
If you do go this way, you should cut down the included pto shaft by about 1"

EasyE,
Very simple. The PTo shaft comes in a 2 piece unit so it can telescope as needed to raise, lower and attach. It is also shrouded for safety with a 2 piece plastic shield. All you have to do is remove the plastic shield, separate the two piece shaft, and remove about 1" with a hacksaw. After filing off the burrs, you reassemble the unit. Very simple. Even I can do it. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif The only reason I mention this, is that some forum members have had expensive, and non-warranty crashes with damage to the transaxle. On my 2210, raising the spreader to the top, only lightly collided with my PTO and why take any chances with a very simple adjustment. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
