The Robins are back.
Saw my first one a few minutes ago.

Very glad to hear it.....I'll be back in country next week, and Ohio the week after to begin prepping the homesite....90 degrees and 100% humidity EVERY DAY where I am......looking forward to the change.

Good thing they are not here yet,

It was -20+ last night, we are up to -15 now, got
to get the IH out and do a little blowing, I've got a
heater running in the cab right now to pre warm it up.

They ain't nothing but crows here.

They just said on the local weather channel that we could get our biggest snow of the season this weekend.__10 to 12in.

I remember in 1994 we got 2 1/2ft. about this same time of the year.

*That's not much to crow about is it?
We got the 2 biggest snows we've ever had since 1964 back in Jan 1994.
The first one on 1-17-94 was 17 inches and the second one on 1/14/94 was 14''.

are the winter months here.
Today is Feb 28 th.which seemed like a long time in the future way back on Dec first.

Its nice to be hopefull,but i saw a robin last week,and then SUNDAY night awoke to 28 inches of snow overnight..Ihope i didnt spoil your thoughts of some seat timeHere where i am i never consider it spring until at least the 2nd week of APRIL,and then we still can get a "sap snow"

Yeah we can have some rough spots in March and even occasionally on into April but for the most part the last day of Feb signals the end of the worst of winter.

We had a blizzard in our part of Ohio March 7 last year. Don't get your beach towels out just yet.

nope,It was just an email i got ,that was circulating.We do have that much snow,but i went out snowshoeing today the deer are still moving.Probably cause of the darn coyote tracks i saw.The little rascals are hanging out right near a place i know of where the deer are yarding up.Until this last 28 inch storm ,i hadnt seen a coyote track all winter in that area.Gonna pluck them off one by one,unless....

I like to hunt when the snow is about 3in.,its hard to get up these mountains if its any deeper.

Every time i see a coyote around here i put it down.

That picture is in Rural Living, "Summer's almost here in Ohio" on page 6.

That is a nice picture, but i don't believe i would even take a shot, that would be to easy.

Spring is suppose to be here in Southwest Georgia but we had snow this afternoon and the next two mornings will be freezing.
