Why won't they just bolt in where the rubber bumpers are?
There is no way to get to the rubber stopper bolts. They are 1. Pressed on and 2. I would have to take the sliding rail apart for the seat assembly and knock the bolts out. And that does not look like it's an easy task. So I decided that my ride wasn't that bad with the rubber bumper stops.
That looks just like the seat on my previously owned Yanmar 4220D. You have to remove the whole blue/green frame from the tractor to remove the seat rail. I did that to replace the original seat on the 4220 with a suspension seat from Agri-supply for less than $100. It required some additional holes to be located and a piece of sheet metal at the rear to be removed so I could slide the new seat further back but when I finished, it was much more comfortable. If I had know about the springs, I may have just put them on rather than a new seat.If the bolt is pressed in the seat slide then surely the rubber piece should screw off the bolt or how was it assembled to start with? :confused3:
