I believe you are correct, guess I was thinking about the white crappie. There is also a black crappie, which did you catch? Did you catch them in Navarro Mills Lake or did you go to Richland Chambers?

Randy, we have both the black and white crappie. The ones I caught yesterday just happened to be two black males and one white female. And I caught them about 400-500 yards from the house; Harris Branch of Navarro Mills Lake (although you'd be hard put to find anyone who knows where Harris Branch is, since it's known from Dallas to Waco as "Snake Creek"/w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif). I think the name comes from its meandering path instead of the reptile - I've seen one snake in the vicinity in 7 years.

One sixteenth to 1/8 ounce lead head jigs. Color doesn't seem to matter this time of year, but I was using the small ones; pink head, yellow feathers.

Grass? You mean that green stuff that Harv posted the picture of his kids laying on? I sort of remember grass, but mine appears to be coming up white this year. /w3tcompact/icons/crazy.gif

I am sick to death of all the rain we are getting. And it is always on the weekend. For the last three weekend I have had over 10 inches of rain. The Trinity is out of its banks and I have attached a picture I took yesterday so you can remember how it used to be in Dallas.
Now I hear they are predicting more rain for this coming weekend/w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif.
I am going to the lake even if I have to mow in the rain/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif. May get stuck in the mud but I am going.
Have a great day! And how is that new mower running? Too wet to try out?

Randy

If your spelling is right, then the English translation is "milk-bag." Interesting.
