Square baler for 3510

Purchased 3510 2 years ago for my 4.5 acres, plowing, shedding, utility work, etc. Now purchasing 7 acre coastal burmuda ajacent to my property, flat land. Did not anticipate this land purchase when I bought the tractor. Does anyone have any experience with a 3510 being able to square bale? Could have it cut and baled by neighbors, but tempting to do myself. Feel the 3510 is just too small , too much stress on it.

It's not like you have 200 acres to do and you're gonna use a 6x5 round baler. If you run across a decent 336 Deere baler, or something like it, you have enough gears to slowly pick up all the hay and not choke out the baler and tractor. Flat land, get the rears filled for extra weight and go for it. What type of mower conditioner you gonna look at?? Heston used to make a P7 (7foot) that was a nice machine if you can find one.....Have fun (or watch someone else have fun....) BobG in VA

that tractor should be able to handle a small sq baler like a jd 24t or 14t, or an old nh like hayliner 69 or 67. it could also handle any older baler w/ a pony motor as they require no pto power. i would def fill the rears. not sure what you plan to cut w/ but i would go w/ a small sickle or disc 3pt, unless you can find an old 7 ft moco. one of my neighbors has a jd 1050 which is about comprable to your 3510 and they hay some hilly terrain w/ only that little tractor. good luck

Thanks for the info. Would be baling coastal burmuda. Just looking for some feedback at this time, really need to get the coastal back in good condition. Can have it done by neighbors, but would really enjoy doing it myself, if the needed equipment was priced low enough to justify. Very true, not working 200 acres.
