I had a problem with my seat latch squeaking it was quite annoying. I tried greasing it and this would quiet it down for about 20 to 40 minutes. So then I tried an industrial Teflon tape this would last a couple of days and then wear through. I needed a permanent fix and this is what I came up with. I took a peace flat Delren and machined it to L shape, then bolted it to the latch with 2, 4mm bolts and lock nuts. This took care of the problem now I can mow in peace while listening to my favorite musical trio. Here is some pics of the latch.

I found an easier and cheaper fix to quell the noise. I just start the engine and I can no longer hear the squeak.

Can you repost the picture?

Nevermind. On my phone the pictures are not there but on my computer they are.

Must be one H*LL of a squeak to be heard over the running engine.
