May not have anything to do with the whistle. -- I had a deer ram the side of my car. He broke from woods about 50' to the side as I was going by, and ran into the rear quarter panel with no apparent slowing. ... No whistles.

Same thing happened to my wife except he hit rear door. The buck broke a leg and had to be put down

Deer run into cars all the time.. I think maybe about as many as get hit by cars.

I had one try to jump between my tractor and the 5 axle trailer. He didn't make it, alive. After all 5 axles of the trailer ran over it all that was left on the road was a bunch of hamburger. Unless you stopped and checked out the hair you couldn't tell it was a deer to start with. And there was blood and guts and all the rest all the way down the side of the trailer as well as all over the undercarriage. Rest in pieces Bambi, you'll never do that again.

Back when deer whistles first came out one of the firemen in my department put a set on his car. A few days later a large buck ran out in the road and stoped, lowered his head and charged the grill. Deer died and the car had to have a good bit of work done to it. Anyone heard of this before? Ed

The eight pointer my wife hit had first bounce off the side of a car and then walked in front of the wifey's car. The deer had fallen down when my wife ran over it. Not much damage at all on the front of the car but the antlers at gone up INTO the engine compartment and took out the radiator.... :shocked:

It's a joke, Mate. By installing them backwards the whistles attract as opposed to scare them away.

Whereas, if you actually install them backwards they won't work at all due to the direction of the wind.
