SSQA Carry-All

I use my slip on pallet forks from Titan. They were cheap (around 200.
I would think a box on a pallet (with some casters on the bottom to roll around in the shop maybe) would be cost wise a little cheaper and more versatile.
The clamp on forks can be loosened and left on the ground easily allowing you to use the bucket for its intended purpose also.

I agree with a box on pallet forks. That is the way I set mine up. You can load all your stuff go into the woods to cut. Set the box out of the way and you still have use of the tractor to move logs around to buck them up. I you get a set of 3 pt pallet forks you can leave it on the back and still have loader for moving stuff around when cutting.

I built mine on 6x6 skids so I can set it down in the dirt when working. Having it in the shop on wheels takes up space in my opinion. I have a big equipment shed so I'm kinda lucky

Why not design it to be more of a storage box? Put a top on the back portion of it with a lip to hold even more stuff?

Not a bad idea there.... I have a door in my shop with a piece of 3/4" plywood on it. The door is hinged to a 2x4 on the wall with the regular door hinges and there are hinged legs on the other edge. When not in use, I can fold up the legs and fold the door down against the wall out of the way. Just give it a pull and the legs drop down for a sturdy workbench. You wouldn't want anything that heavy, but you could put a top on your box with hinged legs along the top of the front edge. After you set your carry-all down, you could fold the top back 180 degrees letting the legs drop down and there's your workbench. You could still have spacers along the sides that would let your chainsaws or what-not stick up and let the top clear when you fold it back.

I liked this idea enough to sketch it out. No I’m not named Picasso or Rockwell if you are wondering.

I have to ask...why not just tow a utility trailer full of all that stuff you gotta tote around?

Na, it ain't in the way. I've seen a hitch ball mounted on the backhoe all sorts of ways...from right on the hoe bucket itself, to a hitch receiver welded on the side of the boom stick. And from what he's toting around, he maybe doesn't even need an actual ball/receiver, just a regular hitch pit type thing found on garden tractors.

There's also like what I have, a hitch receiver welded on the loader bucket, but I imagine a 5 min trip over terrain *pushing* a cart/trailer ain't an option.

In my case, I usually have my chipper/shredder on my 3pt. I typically use my forks more than my bucket, so having a box full of tools I could pick up and take with me would work well. You do have a point, though, for those it would work for. :)
