Thought this blacked out Ram was sharp.

A buddy just bought a 2500 with 6.4? hemi blacked out like that Thursday. Very sharp truck straight off the lot. He had a plow put on it this weekend and it will get worked. it has something around 400hp which to me should be more than enough in 3/4 ton to make up for not having a diesel. And like he said he wont have to worry about gelling up anymore.

Since the Detroit AutoShow was still happening, I am surprised they had as many 2015 models as they did. Thanks for sharing your pics.

I am interested in hearing what kind of mpg he gets with the 6.4. I wouldn't expect it to be great, but if it ended up near 18 freeway (when not plowing), that would be pretty good for that size truck and power, and no diesel cost.

Can't find any MPG #'s on the 6.4 but the HP/torque ratings look good. 410HP/429ft-lbs. I'd like to hear some owner input on the rear coils vs leaf springs on the HD Ram's. Better ride? How much squat w load?

While the numbers are good where does it make the power. Granted my reference is dated but my 2003 Hemi 2500 was not happy doing work unless it was up around 4000 RPM. It was a uncomfortable sound to me towing 8500# for 7 hours straight for me.

The torque #'s on the 6.4L peak at 4000 RPM's also. Typical for a gasser. If you want low end torque, you gotta spill out the 8K up charge for the Cummins.

Have never looked at the window sticker on a Tacoma till the Auto Show. This one listed for 34K and some change.

If GM does what they promised and price the Canyon/Colorado comparable, I think we have a winner here.

Not all gassers. I have been a fan of the Ford's for so long because they have chosen to make grunt and don't care so much about HP numbers. In all seriousness look at the Nissan, Toyota, and Ford and they all make 80% or more of the avaliable torque below 2000 rpm.

Yes, I think it's very competitive. The Toyota has a big head start but the interior looks cheap to me. This has also been a complaint of mine with GM trucks. My 2005 Dmax was very cheap when compared to my 2004 F250 I also had at the same time, but I will say the pics you posted look night and day better then what they were putting out then.
