I went from a Ford 1700 to my Kubota M6040. Several of the implements that fit the Ford were useless - just to light. They would have been even more useless on the Kubota.

So...... Over the last thirteen years I have slowly upgraded to Cat 2 implements. NO - it is NOT cheap. The grapple/third function was - $4750. The Rhino 950 rear blade was - $4000. The Wallenstein BX62S was - $4500. Unfortunately - in this corner of the world there are no smaller tractor used implements for sale. 450hp to 600hp - there are plenty. I looked for 30+ years and finally gave up.

But that's the main reason I got the Kubota. I'm retired and have all the time in the world. But not enough time for implements that will not do their job.

My last implement upgrade will be either a HD set of disks or a HD rototiller.

My M6040 with the grapple, RimGard loaded rear tires & Rhino rear blade - 10,100#.
Yeah I know what you mean will just have to slowly upgrade attachments and sell off the ones I have now would’ve just been handy to use the disk box blade landscape rake and hay spike if it could be done with little modification. All my skidsteer attachments are sure handy tho so I’ll make due with what I got. Will probably try to get longer pins for the landscape rake and hay spike if it doesn’t put them in much of a bind the rest I’ll sell off

Give you an idea of how very "arid" it is around here. Bought my Rhino 950 in 2017. Listed my Land Pride rear blade on local Craigs List. Had a call in less than half an hour. Man coming to get it - cash in hand. Had five more calls in the next two hours. Second man came anyhow. Saw my roll over box blade and light weight set of disks. Want to buy them both. Should have sold him the disks. The disks are Land Pride - 1048. I guess they would be OK if you were following a good rototilling job on your garden plot. Otherwise - just like boobs on bacon.

I need a very heavy set of disks to break my land that has NEVER been broken. Something like Brown or the like. I'm leaning towards a set of disks. They don't need PTO power like a rototiller.

The tractor size and the way I finally have it set up is just great for my 80 acres. I am all open stands of Ponderosa pine and fields of bunch grass/field grass.
