Box Scraper Standard Duty vs Heavy Duty

/ Standard Duty vs Heavy Duty #21
After watching CL "Heavy Equipment" section for a while, it seems people think it means something they can't lift.

I'm not sure why people want to pull out different adjectives except to make their product seem unique from the crowd, or define line differences. I'm getting very fatigued from the word "extreme". Corn chips, soft drinks, and wild sports couldn't do it--but a good background check has.
Only the actual weight and construction make it a stronger box.
Put my 800# box on a 100hp unit--"light duty"; put the same one behind a 17hp tractor--"extreme duty"
Words like heavy, super, and extreme aren't a lot more helpful than wonderful, fantastic, or really, really good except to categorize products within a manufacturing line.
Have an extremely good day!

I couldn't of said it better myself, and what I find really insulting is that these companies think we are so stupid that they can manipulate us by using these words. But it must be working on the majority of people or they would not be doing it.

You have defined most of what constitutes MARKETING, a multi-billion dollar business annually. The part you omitted is portraying the unique, differentiated product as having ADDED VALUE.

The most famous chesnut in marketing is advice about labeling: Never label a product omitting "NEW & IMPROVED" or "25 CENTS OFF".

Note that ETA provides weight for all their implements, which is honest policy.

I was looking at grapples for no real reason and noticed one manufacture called a grapple manufactured with 3/8" steel as "heavy" duty while another called a grapple manufactured with 1/2" steel as "light" duty. Perhaps the industry should set specifications for definitions.

No. The less successful will fail, the more successful will grow. Better, more innovative product results. Regulation makes it difficult for new competitors to enter the arena, giving advantage to existing producers.

How long has ETA been around? Maybe seven years as an implement manufacturer, pioneering internet-based direct sales.
