I'm wondering if it was a problem on the downlink side? Anybody report problems on the US west coast?
I had that problem as well. IIRC, I had to allow it for all times, or I had to switch devices, I have a vague recollection that it didn't like a tablet for some reason.I keep pressing to allow “ when using app” but the message doesn’t go away.
They aren't selling that service nor onboarding anyone for it yet. They're just announcing a future offering. You are mischaracterizing things. I'm not defending Starlink's current situation, just pointing out that things are not as you indicate.
I can't make it out in the pic., but does it say there may be an interuption every 17 sec.?Here is my neighbors obstruction report.
He is in a hole in the forest. His antenna is on the roof ridge about 20 feet up. Positioned at the most optimum point pointing out of the hole.
His highest speed has been 120mbps, lowest in single digits, typical is 30-40mbps:

When I purchased SL last year, they gave me an option to return the system if I didn't like it for any reason. Not sure if this option is still available though.I will start with a roof mount. Then a pole further from the house if needed. Not eager to drop trees on the ridge line. My alternative is dsl that I paid $1200 to get installed with promise of 20 meg. True max was 9.8 and it failed constantly. When it went out on a Friday, it would be out till Monday or Tuesday.
I could put the cellphone booster up and hotspot. I could try the T mobile 4 g modem that gave me 8-15 meg when I test d it a couple weeks ago. I am thinking that Starlink will be a big improvement over those other options
