As I recall Alan you work in accounting so this is for sure your busy time with tax time jsut around the corner. No rush on the pics, when you have time....
I actually thought that you jsut didn't realize that you didn't download any of the front of the house, but based on your reply you did know and at that time thery were not finished yet. I will really appreciate seeing the brick ont he front of the hosue, I bet it looks awsome. Your brick color is the exact brick color of our last home we built, so you know i like it

As fast as the sheetrockers were the tape/bed/texture contractor is doing all of the job himself, so it is gonig really slow. He is very good at it however.

Mrs. Alan L. finally got some daytime pics of the whole house today with the brick. Mostly close up for a view of the brick. The front windows have no special treatment since they are getting cedar shutters.

Thanks, Rox. We are in a lull, the painters just finished painting the exterior and staining the cedar although I have only seen either in morning fog or with a flashlight. The texture should be done by Monday, and the hardwood floor people are supposed to show up next Thursday, the the trim carpenter the following Monday along with the cabinet maker and staircase conctractor. There should be some real progress on the inside in the next couple of weeks. The tape,bed and texture is lasting about 3 weeks with the one guy doing it, but it is a fine job.

We'll get some pics of the paint job as soon as possible.

Here are some pics after paint and cedar stain. Also got the shutters up yesterday. Hardwood floor contractor is supposed to show up tomorrow, cabinets to be installed next Monday, stair railings Tuesday, and trim carpenter next Friday.

Those shutters and stain really give the house some character, Alan. I like it! It's starting to look like "home" to me. When I look at the front, I automatically start thinking of how the landscaping and flowerbeds will look. Not that I've ever finished my own, mind you.
