If your diesel fuel was good when put in the tractor three years ago - its still good today. No need to dump or change. BTW - where in the world is - cook???

Could it be Cook County?

Check for rodent damage, maybe pull glow plugs and a squrit of WD 40 in cylinders to wet them and start it, if it runs with no issues fuel is still good.... And long as it builds oil pressure and sounds "normal".... Let it run for a while to heat up real good and dry out any condensation in engine or exhaust system...

Just be sure battery is up to task, nothing worse than trying to start something and have bum battery...Sort of kills momentum for project....
