Forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere.
My Kubota L3010 HST is doing something that seems different to me. Yesterday I tried to restart the tractor (thought I had the clutch pushed in) and it was dead. I noticed that the PTO lever was engaged, so I disengaged it and the tractor started normally.
My question is this: Should the tractor start if the PTO lever is engaged and the clutch is pushed in?
You learned the trick to minimize theft all by yourself
The Kubota keys, unlike a car or truck, are not unique to your tractor. Your key will work on most in your series if not more.
Owners leaving their tractor unprotected, often leave the pto engaged, when they walk away. In the dark, or with some kid, this is enough to prevent it from starting for the thief.
