I won’t wager on it but I do hope they do or at least communicate with these people. Incidentally, it looks like one could still place an order. I would like to think if they are indeed closing, they would at least turn off the option to place an order.

The website guy might be waiting to get paid too...

That method works right up to the moment it doesn't. Any little hiccup in cash flow and the whole house of cards comes tumbling down. That bit a lot of housing contractors here back in 2008. They wouldn't actually have the reserves to finish all the houses they had under construction. They'd use the proceeds of a sale to finish up the next house in line and so on. Works great when sales are hopping but you basically go bankrupt overnight when sales slow even a little.
One of the guys we cleaned up after took it to a somewhat extreme. He used the deposit from bldg B to work on bldg A. Material for bldg B never got ordered and work on bldg A wasn’t completed when things fell apart.
He left the construction trade after 30 years broke and bankrupt with a 650K Mortgage on a 400K house.

Well I hope things work out for EA they make nice attachments and I'm sure his workers need their jobs..
Really nothing to stop some of the enterprising employees from renaming the attachments and building themselves.

Well glad to see you are now talking rationally!

Sleep well
I try to always be rational, whether you believe it or not you yourself tend to rub on people a little hard in some of your post's, but I believe we all really would like to see 1.these folks who are out of jobs go back to work. 2. These folks who are out their hard earned money get their money back or get some contact from the company to let them know what is going on and what to expect because you can't reach them, and IMO with that not happening it doesn't look good for the near future and if they do open back up will probably hurt their business model/reputation. I did sleep good though, ready for another day.

Yes, anything is better than nothing. “we hit a snag but are working on it”, “it’s raining so we won’t be working today” etc.

I agree as a business owner I feel it's the least you can do, but would go a long way with most folks, let's face it people who are willing to wait for 6 months for something that they paid for up front REALLY want it and a lot of them if reassured that it's still coming would probably wait longer.

I would not be in either bucket. I will not wait 6 months to buy something I can get from another supplier. It is a tractor attachment...not a custom gun. And if I did have an order with EA, I would be cancelling it and calling my CC company to get a refund.

But...in a few hours we will see. If EA does not post something on this thread, they are toast.

BTW, IMO they are toast anyway. EA follows this thread. Even if Ted is not at the office over the weekend, he will be getting notifications (assuming he has that feature enabled). I was a CEO and I know I would have stayed on top of my business unless I was in jail or the hospital.

I agree 100% with you on not waiting long term for one of their implements, I also have no interest in paying for something for possibly upwards of 6 months prior to getting it but everyone is not like us, as you can tell from this thread they have quite a following and apparently make some pretty good implements, I own many different implements and I am constantly buying more, but I'm glad I'm not waiting on EA.

This is really a "to each his own" situation. I think pre-paying for something like a $200 hydraulic cylinder on Amazon and pre-paying for a $5K grapple with a 6 month wait time are two entirely different things. I just don't pre-pay for big ticket items, especially ones I can't lay my hands on. I personally think anyone running a business like that is a huge red flag and the items they are selling today are funding the items sold 6 months ago. Truth is Ted probably couldn't refund orders if he even wanted to. Anyone with an order on a CC can get their money back. I can't even fathom not doing that in this situation.
