Tractor
zennoh l1802 dta
I recently bought a Zen-Noh L1802 DTA. It's a nice little tractor but I don't like that the lift controls are on the steering column. Can this be changed and have them in the regular position (on the right side of the seat)

Help, PLEASE!!

What the world? Does no one have the same question as me? Doesn't anyone else have a tractor with the lift controls on the steering column? Help me out here.

Re: Help, PLEASE!!

Did you ask a question pertaining to a Kubota?

Frankly, I doubt it would be worth the hassle ($$$)...but the folks on the Chinese Tractor forum or Grey Market Forum might be of help.

Don't expect a lot of responses...doubt if too many of us have ever seen a Zen-Noh tractor. I, for one, have never seen one.

I was under the assumption that Kubota's were never re-badged. Perhaps I am wrong or perhaps the link I sent is wrong.

More likely, the website (sales place) was using a little "creativity" with their copy...or they were talking about some grey market machines.

My understanding is that a Zen-Noh is a Kubota that was sold in Japan, then re-sold and shipped to the U.S. The have to be re-badged because of a lawsuit by Kubota. The didn't want the market flooded by these tractors. They are 100% Kubota.

Actually, I read it that Zen-Noh is a cooperative, much like Southern States in our region. And they have tractors private labeled. Kubota and others manufacture and private label as Zen-Noh to be sold to the cooperative members. Inevitably some machines are imported to US. Definitely not made for the US market, hence grey market machines.

I know it's a grey market tractor. I was simply asking if anyone had run into the electric controls on the column and what they did about it.

If things read a bit funny in this thread, it's because 2 threads were merged and no posts deleted.

So they are electric over hydraulic controls? Is there a problem with them other than the location? If not, I wouldn't think it would be a big deal to relocate the electric switches. If you want to go straight hydraulic, maybe you can find a corresponding Kubota model to at least compare setups or maybe even obtain parts. Like Roy says, it probably wouldn't be worth the hassle to make a complete change.
Sorry, not much help.
