Amen to that brother. By human nature we learn t adapt to short comings. But the fact is that the ability to steer with the brakes is a huge advantage over not being able to. I don't use mine a lot but when I do it's because I really need it. Yea, I could stop, back up and take another run at it but it's a lot faster to tap one of the brake pedals and get the front end going in the right direction and keep right on going.
Another question I asked my brother about his L3830 the first time I saw it was "why in world did they put a clutch on a hydrostatic tractor?"
