i have a '00 model 6000 4WD with FEL and power steering fluid is leaking from under the steering wheel. There is a solid shaft running from the wheel to the pump and I see no hoses to the upper shaft. Any ideas? mark

Hi Mark are you in Texas? Just curious. I am way out guessing here but it would seem to me a seal or something must have failed in the steering column. take this with a grain of salt as I haven't even looked at a diagram of the setup or what parts are there. Just seems to me if there aren't hoses or anything around and just a steering shaft that it must be some internal part in the shaft that failed. I can look at my 6500 tonight to see what is in there.

Mark,
I'm not sure if the steering actuator assembly is the same as the 20 series (With out looking it up), but I had a 7520 leaking from the top of the actuator housing at a threaded plug. I simply tightened it with an allen wrench and it solved the problem. If you open the panel below your steering wheel you should be able to see it. If you need any more help with it let me know. Good luck with it.
