And whats the primary reason for less engine revolutions?
To increase fuel efficiency. DUH
I'm with Snobdds. I love how simple you are. :)

Hey a Simple Man is better than complex double talkers :)
Especially the ones that think automatics with 4 gears are better than automatics with 8 gears. lol
About as ridiculous as stating only a few hundred Russian soldiers have died in Ukraine…lol

Hey, they even wrote a tribute song for guys like me.

You gotta stand still. You keep switching sides in this discussion.

Why are you saying a 4spd auto is better than an 8spd auto? Why would you say something like that????

What exactly does War deaths of any country have to do with transmissions??

I'll wait while you dream up an explanation...... :ROFLMAO:

Never switched sides. Standing still while you change your 💩 story

Always said the number of gears has been increased to improve fuel economy and efficiency. Sorry you cant worm your way out of this with your usual evasive tactics.

But you just said a 4spd is better than an 8spd. Do I need to copy/paste your comment? I can if you need me to. It would be easier if you simply went back and read what you posted. :)

This new engine is suppose to be about 15% more efficient than engines it will replace. That is a huge number because today's gas engines are only 20-35% efficient. That means that over 65% of fuel cost is wasted. Most of the waste is heat going out the exhaust or heat in the cooling system. Only a small amount is wasted in frictional loses (good). If we could contain most of the combustion heat in the combustion chamber and use it before it is exhausted, it would be GREAT. We are making big improvements but will it be enough? Time will tell.

I-6 engines coupled with transmissions with more gears are more efficient than V-8’s with less gears.

Sometimes I think you just say big words in the hope you get their meaning right.
