Step reinforcement

I have a 2019 XG3025, but it has the same upgrades / redesigned frame as the MT225E. One of the things that was "redesigned" was the step side platform. Apparently a bunch of the older 3025's had a problem with the step mounting cracking the floorboard. I had felt comfortable that they fixed this problem.... nope!

About a month ago, I noticed the step was moving more than usual. I checked all the bolts and they were tight. While doing this, I noticed a small crack forming in the rolled edge of the floorboard right at the bend going around the fender.



The dealer replaced the floorboard under warranty. Even with the new floorboard, the step would still move a bit, putting stress on the floorboard. It would eventually crack again, so I made up a brace going from the bottom of the step up to the floorboard frame. There was an existing hole in the frame and the step, so an easy install. I used 1/4" x 1 1/4" flat stock, just putting a couple of bends in it and drilling 2 holes.

Hello.
I own a CASE Farmall 60B. These are manufactured by LS under an agreement with CASE.

The dealer I purchased from automatically installs a brace to strengthen the step. My Farmall is a cabin tractor. The dealer forgot to install the brace on delivery but the salesman immediately brought one to me. I agree that it is a 2 minute job, but on examining the brace supplied I made a much better one. You enter on the left hand side and the fuel tank is adjacent to the step so the brace strengthens both the step and the fuel tank on mine.

My tractor has been fine. The only minor complaint I have is that the park brake light is obscured by the steering wheel. I will place another LED on the dash somewhere one day.

I have installed a $10 LED digital battery charge indicator purchased from eBay into the dash. This was another 2 minute job. They fit into any keyed circuit. They are fabulous and the idea came off a Tractorbynet Forum.

Yep, I did the voltmeter within a short time of getting the tractor. I like seeing how the system is working. I have been thinking of an oil pressure gauge too.
