Sterling trucks are no more

That is coming soon. The New 8600 series from MF will have SCR on them, and I am pretty sure JD will be using the DPF, late 09, or 2010.

For TIER 3B / TIER 4 JD will be using a DPF as well as a diesel catalytic converter. It will be available in a two in one unit to OEMs
We will build them in our loaders from january 1st, 2011

Probably true for guys who use their trucks primarily as commuter vehicles or big boy toys.

No way I'm spending $3,000 for an interior when I'll be trashing it with dirt, sawdust or concrete on my clothes.
I feel the same way you do. You would compare an Silverado LZ or LT or whatever their top of the line is to a king ranch. The king ranch is a better looking interior in my opinion hands down. I use my truck as a work truck also and for me the Silverado is better for that. But in the looks department the king ranch beats it if you ask me.

Looks are for trailer queens. A durable interior is better to have that a girly pretty one. Function over form.

It depends on what you use your truck for I think. There are several times that we take my silverado on cross country vacations. My wife rides in the truck and she likes it to be comfortable and look nice. My silverado looks nice. It has all the bells and whistles. Leather heated seats. sattelite radio etc etc. I am just saying that the king ranch is done a bit nicer and looks better. If you use your truck occasionally for work or use it for work where the it does not get as dirty and the rest of the time you drive around in it then the nicer looking truck would not be a bad way to go. Price wise if I remember correctly a king ranch and the top of the line silverado are comparably priced. But you might want to go look at the newer silverado's. The last one I looked at was an 2008 but to me the dash and interior was getting more along the line of looking like the king ranch. A little bit more elegant inside. So in a couple of years this arguement about which has the nicer interior might be mute.

What was that cartoon that used to be on TV a hundred years ago ? It was about a couple of dualing families , the old fella's would get out of bed , go out on the verandah and start blasting each other with scatter guns :D:D. I get a laugh every time a couple of these guys lock horns over Chev vs Fords as this picture comes to mind :D:D.

As much of a TV and cartoon fan that I am, I don't recall the exact cartoon you are thinking of; but I do seem to recall one that poked fun at the Hatfield and McCoy feuding hillbillies that sounds similar to the one you mentioned.

There is 2 interiors for the new GM trucks theres a different dash in the WT-LT trucks then in the nice LT and LTZ they put the yukon/tahoe dash in it.. My dad has a LT model with leather seats that are heated nothing real fancy its about what mine is.. One day though if dodge is still in business and GM dont have a 5500 pickup i want to get a dodge 5500.

There is a nicer edition GM truck. "Stampede" maybe? something like that.

My wife wont let me go look at new trucks :( I am sure it has something to do with me calling her up one day and telling her I did not like the mirrors on my 2005 so I am at the dealers buying a 2006. I have not really looked at new trucks since.
