Well I have a bit of experience with sticky BX hydro stuff. My BX was one of the early ones with no grease fitting on pedal pivot so I had problems right off the bat. Once this was rectified I thought everything was great up until last year and my pedal got really stiff again, I couldn't imagine that the pedal pivot was seized again /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif so I disconnected the linkage to the trans and the pedal rocked free. I had sprayed everything else in the linkage occasionally so I began to think the worse that something internal in the trans was binding. As a last ditch effort I removed the pin locking the rear linkage pivot sleeve to the swashplate shaft to isolate things and the binding was still there. I finally traced it down to the outer pivot in the steel plate where the snap ring is. It took quite a bit of working back and forth and soaking with the spray lube to get it freed up. I think the tolerance is pretty tight and just a little moisture and minor rust was all it took. Well anyway it's an easy enough spot to get at to keep it lubed so I give it a little shot every few times I get on the tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Most of the time my hydro is slow to return but sometimes it sticks and I have to push with my heel to release it. I tried spraying everything that moved relating to the hydro pedal but it didn't help much. Greasing the pivot point helps the most. I think there is a design problem with the pivot shaft or bearing.

I just worry that one of us is going to get hurt if the pedal sticks and I don't want it to be me..... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

that is what mine did, took two times for the dealer to check with K and yes there IS a problem with some type of bearing in the transmission/whatever they call it. When they replaced this, it fixed it.

Sorry but I don't have a digital camera set up as of yet. I'll try to describe it better. It's pretty easy to see right under the right fender in front of the tire. With the machine off look under the fender and grasp the hydro pedal and rock it back and forth. You'll see what looks like the end of a metal tube portuding from a cadmium plated steel plate with a snap ring on it that moves with the hydro pedal. That is the point to lube, I think the tolerance is pretty close and even a slight amount of corrosion there will cause binding.

All I know is when I greased it on the 50 hr mark that is when the pedal sticks/slow to return to center.

I was cleaning off the driveway the other day (only 4 inches of snow) and hit the garage because of the pedal not stopping! I need to get this thing fixed.

Talk to your dealer.....he has the answer, you may just have to beat it out of him. There are some bearings in the transmission that my dealer changed out (second time) and it fixed it. He told me that Kubota had a bulletin on this........as I looked at him with a /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
/forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif look as to why he did not fix it the first time. I also wondered why he charged me to come get it the first time, and made sure I would not be charged again. I was not! You might also call Kubota and have them fax the bulletin to you and YOUR DEALER with YOUR name on it. That would be better than a 2x4 to get his attention before talking to him

I have sprayed everything that I can see and a few things that I can't see. It still sticks and I am afraid that I might be the next to hit the garage. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif Seat time is no longer enjoyable time.
