Do you have a voltmeter?
I'd like to know what the arc volts and open circuit volts are when running 3/32-6011.

If not, could you guess at the maximum arc length you can get before the arc stops.

Update:
So after work today I ran some more test beads with the stickweld 140. And while I did, I recorded the arc volts with a VOM and my cell phone.

Results:
Open circuit voltage: 75 volts.
Welding voltage, short arc: 25 volts.
Welding voltage, long arc: 30-50 volts.
Note: I could only get a long arc with 7018 rods.

Hi Dan,

As soon as the guys have a minute, they will do some welding and get you some ratings on the volts. I just saw this post so let me see what they can asap.
