Wow your bench is way cleaner than my old beat up work bench.. Nice series of pictures there though! Another thing I heard was the Pro's usually have the translucent gas tanks so you can see the fuel level typically.. At least the later versions of them...

It won't work.

For one, the date code on OEM Mahle pistons is well off to one side. For two, the piston crown will be covered with carbon. The piston picture I posted earlier is post-cleanup. But right out of the jug, it will appear as per below -- maybe a bit better/maybe a bit worse, but in any case you will not be able to discern the date code until you get a wire brush out.

Morning all, my 026 about 16 yrs old 16 inch .325 hasnt missed abeat.almost all of the timber round here is hardwood andit does fine. More to the point is wrooster available for hire to clean up my workshop????:laughing:
