Hi guys, just wondering if anyone has experience with Stihl branded chainsaws?

Recently added one to the collection but haven't got it out of the box yet, trying to do my due diligence!

All good, some better some worse. My issue with Stihl (and I own 3) is the retail cost is bordering on stupid. I prefer Echo myself but just personal preference. Don't 'collect' them I use them, they are tools and not collectable items.

Collectable items usually appreciate in value, chainsaws for the most part don't.

Any chainsaw is only as good as the loop is sharp.

If you've already bought I think it's too late for due diligence. Stihl still tends to be a good brand but I don't like the micro chain on their smaller ones. I think the smaller Echo saws are a better choice.

Yeah something fishy. Your very first post on a tractor forum is about a chainsaw?

You guys sound paranoid...
hey just doing due diligence

in this case, BEFORE trusting, unlike this alleged buyer who's doing "due diligence" by asking questions supposedly after buying a chainsaw

also - it's not paranoia if they're really out to get you

Considering the safety record of those things I don't think it would be "paranoia" to be concerned if one was overhead either
Just like Black Hawks, right? :sneaky:

Alright, here ya go….

So....were you going to return it if you got negative feedback here? Really? Did you ask about that when you bought it?

Alright, will this work? lol

I realized the original poster might be a real person with a legitimate but vague question. Stihl saws are generally considered good. If you post the model number you bought that would help us answer.

Suspicious first post.
Smacks of AI, not sure what the point is.
On other social media I'd report & block...
Wow unsure what this means but no I'm not AI lmao. Would a selfie suffice

Appreciate everyone who gave a genuine response and not all the baiters (masters).

Collection was a strong word but am a real chainsaw noob and after the help this page has given me previously I just wanted to ask the question.

Apologies!

As with any publically viewed forum, asking a question will ALWAYS illicit a variety of responses, some germane to the question and some not. How a forum works and that holds true with any forum, not just this one.

I don't consider any reply to be baiting, just responses and nothing more and as the asker, you have to accept or reject what you deem necessary and what you don't.
