I did see that fuel but the tiller eats gas. It would of cost me $45.00+ to use it for one short day! $6.99 quart!

Going a getting 5 gallons of ethanol free premium is the way to go for the heavy user. The quart can is great for the person that uses a chain saw a little after major storms.

When I bought my RedMax blower earlier this year the dealer recommended ethanol-free gas. Luckily, I have a few places within 10 miles that have it. Plus being on the gulf coast of Florida, there are more and more gas stations getting it for folks with boats. I have a 2.5 gallon can of non-ethanol straight gas for the lawnmower and another 2.5 gallon can of non-ethanol 2-cycle synthetic mix for the blower and trimmer.

These suggestions not to use gas with ethanol are ridiculous. There is no such thing anymore....not around here. The manual clearly states not to use fuel with more 10% ethanol.

Why would you make such a statement? Why do you think the equipment sellers are making ridiculous statements?

The problem with ethanol gas is it really depends on how well it's blended as to the concentration you get. With the car I get a tank that the fuel mileage is just as good as the ethanol free gas days. Other times the fuel mileage just drops right off. My guess is that the 10% is just an average and you could get higher or lower. If you get higher in equipment that's not designed to handle it then your screwed.

My Merc picks up 2.5 mpg in the summer and drops off in the fall.
