Storage in tube in loader

Has anyone rigged up a way to store stuff in the empty cylinder in the joint of your loader? I've seen the idea on Youtube but need details on how to cover the ends. Seems like a great place to keep a chain and other things.

I'd be interested to see what you're talking about. I've set up a couple pieces of plastic pipe with metal plugs screwed to the pipe and mounted them with hose clamps to my ROPS. My FEL doesn't have any empty cylinders on it.

I have tried using the cross tube on my loader to carry a shovel, but the shovel end sticks out to far and catches on stuff. So I mounted a couple of 4' long 2"diameter PVC tubes, one to each of the loader arms. I carry a shovel in one tube and a rake in the other. It has worked out well for me.
