I got a couple baskets on a loader tractor and hook up a bunch of stuff as free additional counterweight for the forklift.

I don't have too many chains so I store them in 5 gal buckets with the hooks on the rim kept next to each other from each chain so you can find them easily. As long as you don't fill too much, they are portable.

I only have a few chains; most are 100 year old, they were used to control the rudder in an old ship I bought.
Anyway, I made steel pegs and drilled a solid concrete section of my shed wall, they pounded them in.

That is just beautiful. Note the safety chain with the spring closure right of center and the very old drawbar clevis top right. Look at the dual purpose slip and grab clevis top left. Never saw saw one like that.
