Bob, I use oil for heat and bought a $20 hand pump for it. Pump right out of my tank in the garage and have done so for the last two years without a problem. The only difference I know of between the off road and on road is the off road DOES have a slightly higher sulfur content. Sulfur is what provides lubricity to the injectors and is a GOOD thing. Downside is it gives more emissions and so is less environmentally friendly. You can burn staight kerosene which is even more refined but it lacks lubricity and WILL cause excessive engine wear and other problems over time. The newer tractors ARE designed to run with lower sulfur content fuels but will not be harmed by running a higher sulfur fuel (off road). Similar to putting premium gas in a honda civic. You can do it but derive no benefit from it. I have 225 hours on my bota and have not changed the fuel filter yet. Only thing I do is use an anti gel additive in the inwter to prevent gelling.
