Storing tractors in portable storage buildings

I'm with Curly. I have the metal Carport - square metal frame, sheetmetal skin. In FL we only worry about windloads. The open ends keep the air clean (fumes). Its anchored on concrete posts. I still see varmint tracks in the sand, but I put dryersheets inside the cab as mouse repellant. This has been working in my cars stored in the shed for a long time so I now include the tractor.

With the metal carports, you can hang lights fro the framing and make more of a storage/workshop thinggy.

So, normal dryer sheets as in clothes dryer...is a mouse repellant huh? Never knew that.

I have a friend who said he would give me 6 20 foot (I'll need to chainsaw them of course) telephone poles to build a small pole structure. I may go that route to, but if not the metal building seems the route to go...at least for a warmer climate.

I do like the JW1554 home built look better though...more of what I want my property to look like. Thanks for the pic JW. Here's a pic of our place during our every other year snow.

Yup, plain old clothes dryer sheets. You can even use the ones from the Dollar store... These sheets been used in classic car business for a while. A couple under the seats, a few in the trunk, maybe one under the hood to discourage wire munchers. It also leaves a better smell in the car than just mothballs.

I poke one of the sheets in the slot where the pedals enter the cab - trying to discourage critters from coming IN the cab. I get a nice blend of spring-fresh with a side order of horse poop when I open the door of the tractor.

If you secure it real good to the ground you should have no problem with it.
Mine are going on 3 years now. I have always considered them "temporary" since I'm building a "permanent" residence for the tractor and implements. They are doing their job as far as I'm concerned. I used the savings towards a grapple and top n' tilt for my tractor.:)

Email I got from TSC last night says they're having a sale on 10X20 canopies through Monday.
Pipe Frame and top - so no ends or sidewalls, but only $80.
