Strange things your pets do...

If you have owned dogs i bet you can relate.

Ozzie came to visit yesterday and immediately found what i guess is a pile of deer scat. Not sure, don't matter. His mom scolded him so he promptly went and found some more to adorn the other side.

Old friend was a dog trainer, said they do that to cover their scent, it works!

That's my dog rufus on his back, quite a scene.

Just saw on tv, 2 gals selling beagle scented candles.........hmmmmmmm

I have always believed that yet this is the first time I saw it confirmed. My last dog took it one step further, she preferred to pee in running water. It was rather handy when we were halfway from here to there and I wanted to make a quick stop for her to relieve herself... just find a stream crossing the road.

I have another theory though... they just roll in it to make you say "EWWH!"

I've told this B4 but----
Our Chesapeake would swipe everything off of the coffee table with her tail.
SO, to train her I walked her around (both Ways) while manually controlling her tail.
She never again swept the table clean!

Another dog.
Would steady our toddler by allowing him to hang onto his ears.
Toddler would teeter back and dog would yank him upright. Now that must have been painful!
Same dog wanted out, I said NO.
Dog grabbed the door knob, twisted it and ran out with a loud bark!

My daughter thought it would be cute to teach her German shepherd pup how to open doors.

The door knob on their back door is mangled and dented now and they have to make sure that back and front doors are dead bolted at all times so he doesn't go on walk about

I had to wire the gates shut on our fence when we dog sat for them. He figured out how to work those latches as well.

Our Golden gets more exercise in his sleep... sleep running, than I get all day at work.

A couple times he must have been dreaming of a "lady friend", his tail was pounding the floor so hard... :dance1:

My young Cocker Spaniel just loves to eat/lick fresh snow. I can easily follow his adventures around the yard - check for tongue drag marks. Somehow or other he has got the "word" on the coyotes that patrol out beyond the mowed lawns. He sees, suspects one or hears one howl at night - right back, up on the porch.
