I keep telling myself that I am going to watch my next dog find a spot to pee* before taking it in. All my dogs have been rescues from bad situations so when there is a good match I take the dog in no matter their pee habits. :laughing:
*Waiting in the rain in the middle of the night for a dog to find a spot to pee... well.. gotta love them if that is the worst thing that I have to do :laughing:

Been there many times with my shepherd.
I've lost count of how many times we've been caught out in the pouring rain on a walk.
She's got her spot for peeing about halfway down to the neighbors house. And her spot for #2 is down at the end of the street in the ditch.
She's got 1.5 acres fenced in out back, but rarely goes #2 out there. The majority of the time she holds it for when we go on our walks.

We have a neighbor who is a real jerk. He told me a tale once about another neighbor who had a Min-Pin that was a screamer. One day as the jerk was leaving to go to town he coaxed the little dog into his pick up and took him to the next town down the road and dumped him out in the parking lot of Lowes, never to be seen again.
Something similar happened downstate a few years ago. Somebody's GSD had a habit of roaming when it was let loose. One day the owner took him for a walk off-lead and the dog bolted. It wore a tracking collar, which somehow ended up in the river. The dog appeared about 50 miles away, but before the owner could claim it the pup was hit by a car and killed. I don't know if they ever found out who did it, but most likely it was someone who got tired of the dog running free.
