Our laundry is in the basement. We've had cats for years, and quickly learned they love the warm dryer and the freshly folded warm clothes. So we put a screen door on that half of the basement, and now the cats stand there and meow at us through the screen anytime we're doing laundry.
Our shepherd likes to help with folding laundry we will dump.the baskets on the bed to fold it and put it away.

She has to climb up and lay across the pile of warm clothes. Then out come the teeth when you try to get what ever she laying on

My nephew, who passed away in Oct.,was a rancher and he and he and his wife had 2 border collies that slept in the house in their own beds. Early in the morning one would come into their bedroom and paw his arm to get him to take her out to pee. He would, then go back to bed. An hour or so later the other dog would come in and go to his wife's side of the bed and pass gas letting her know it was time to go poop.
They were pretty well trained people. I suppose that now his widow has to make 2 trips out, but knowing her, she probably has them trained to go out at the same time.

My German Shepherd has to take medicine for an allergy. Most of the time, my wife hands me the pills to give to him. I tell him its time for your medicine "open your mouth" and he just opens his mouth and waits for me to push the pills behind his tongue.
He also seems to have a clock inside him. Every morning at 9am he starts harrassing me, nosing my arm, because that is to him, his play time. If I ignore him, he just jumps up on me putting his nose right in my face. When I finally get up he gets really excited and jumps up on me then runs to the door whinning away till we go out and toss the frisbee.
The other thing is that he knows when either me or the wife is thinking about going somewhere and he sits and watches us intently. Then when we are about ready, he runs to the door, opens it himself and runs to the car so he gets to go along for the ride.
He also thinks it is his job to wake me each morning, usually just about daylight. He comes to the bed and nuzzles my arm till I scratch him a bit. He has a snooze alarm also, if I tell him it is too early because I want to sleep in a bit, he goes away and comes back in about 10 minutes to repeat.
Once he is sure I am getting up, he leaves and goes back to his bed to sleep till Mom gets up(usually about 830 but sometimes earlier.
He also wont wake Mommy if he wants to go out, instead he comes to me to let him out at night. This is usually because he has smelled / heard a creature roaming outside.

We currently have two cats. Our vet told us to start feeding them some wet canned catfood to balance their diet. So I started giving it to them in the morning when I get up to go to work. Bad idea. They quickly learned morning is for the good food, so they started walking all over us and harassing us in bed before the alarm goes off. Then they kept starting earlier and earlier, sometimes 4:00am. YIKES! and unacceptable! So I cut them off cold turkey, and started giving it to them at night before I go to bed, usually around midnight-1:00am. They quickly learned to start the harassment around 10:00pm. I can take that better than 4:00am.

"Is he asking to drive?". This was the day I went and got him from the breeder. It's his very first ride in a vehicle and I think he is getting a little anxious. It was an hour ride home.

Our female lab “Lucy” has decided that she doesnt trust anybody but me.
She use to like to be around everybody but lately I am the only one she will mind. Offers of food and treats are refused unless they lay it down and walk away. It is then looked over and heavily sniffed before being ate.
We have a large run and shelter for her at night and when we are gone, Im the only one she will go up for.
My wife says that the dog needs a shrink.
I think its where I am the only one home with her during the day, and she has became my shadow.

As the saying goes “cats don’t have owners, they have servants”.

Here is the lion king of our household.
