Yah. I learned I probably neede a little more momentum and probably had no buisiness being on a creek in the rain. But I just got the thing about 2 weeks ago and wanted to get some seat time.Made for a little conversation anyway.

Those are pretty big words...I have been in situations a lot worse than that and walked myself out of some pretty big holes with my loader,I was in a hole the other day and the fan was blowing water and mud back up on my feet on the platform.
But of course I have R-1 tires.

When the ground your loader is on is to soft to hold when curking the bucket and your draw bar mount is bottomed out, there is not much you can do.And yes Im sure the ag tires make a BIG difference.Sounds like your having plenty of fun tho. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

"The worst part is a bx had to pull me out"....

Heck, someday you might get a chance to pull the bx out.
Thanks for sharing your story...I've always been fond of saying the only people who don't goof up are the people who don't do anything. A mistake like yours only proves you were trying to do something.

Saying you have been in a lot worse situations than that just from looking at a picture is pretty big words as well. I've had my tractor stuck before and it looked as if nothing was wrong, but it was setting at just the right angle with the weight shifted in such a way that it could not get free. And once you get high centered, I don't care if you have R-1's, tracks, steel cleets or whatever they won't do you a big of good if they aren't touching the ground.
There was a guy on another tractor board that ended up flipping his JD (can't remember # I think it was 4310) trying to get up a steep muddy bank that gave way. He eventually got a tow truck to help him get it out. It's better to be safe than sorry regardless of what has to pull you out.

Yep! KubotaSteve is right. You can't tell by looking at a picture. I've had my 4200 stuck with the FEL and the Back hoe on it, on more than one occasion. Had to get the 4wd truck to get it out. I've operated alot of different equipment for a long, long time. Sometimes, S**T happens...

Anyone who has not had a tractor stuck bad enough that they had to be pulled out hasn't had much seat time.

I used to carry chains and a come-along on my 8N because I knew I was going to have to be pulled out on a regular basis. Fortunately there were enough trees around that I always had one handy to hook to and get myself out.

Now you are a tractor "veteran".

I wish I had a picture to show you.... when you can't see the front tires because of the muck and the loader will hardly pull out of the muck because it pulls a vacuum in the muck and the mud is level with the platform for your feet.

Is that the best you can do...???
