Do you have a FEL. Are there any good size trees nearby. Is there an implement on back. If you know all the risks , a tire or log chained or tied to your rear wheel works well sometimes.

Well I always try to look at the positive side first. I think I can safely say that I don't think you have to worry about anyone stealing it as it is now.

I try to stay off my machine if I've been drinking. I too have been known to do a few things smashed that I wouldn't have done otherwise. Target practice with an MP-40 might be a good example of that. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Maybe you have another friend with another tractor that can help you. If you use a chain, cable, or strap for pulling keep it low and be real careful, they have been known to snap back quickly.

That said I do hope you get it out before it becomes a permanent structure on your land.

texashollander,
A "fel" is an abreviation for a "front end loader".

Some winch/pulling rules:

Lightly stuck needs something of the same weight to pull it out.

Medium stuck needs something 2x as heavy to pull it out.

Extra stuck up to frame needs machine 4x as heavy to pull out.

A 2000 lb suzuki samurai call stall an 8000 lb winch when sunk really bad in mud.
