Just wondering if there is there a good story that goes with that photo?

Besides the fact we've had 9 inches of rain the past 2 weeks and my wife said it was too wet to mow?

Actually, I had a 100 gallon water trough that has been leaking for a while that I didn't know about b/c of the rain. Somehow, I broke through the surface layer and sunk to the axles right away.

Mom stuck the truck pulling on the tractor.

Got them both out with a Dodge dually and an expensive tow strap.

It sure happens fast when it happens. We have been in a drought here in Georgia, all the rain is dropping on Texas. Our pond is down 2-3 feet and has been for awhile. I thought it would be a good time to remove some sediment build up where a little stream enters the pond. I walked it and it seemed solid enough so out I went with the tractor. Move along slowly until the front tires started into some softer stuff. Decided that was far enough and started to back up. Dropped to the axles after moving less than a foot. It took a while with the loader and backhoe to get myself out.

Lesson learned, L39 Kubota’s do not float.

markv rain is also inundating oklahoma. a week or so back i decided to go check on our pond, which is on the back of our property - interesting side note, pond was dry as of january of this year, now it's overflowing and it's probably 225'x150' and 14'-16' deep - but on my way back the property dips and then raises slightly and on the last bit of uphill, just 40' from the driveway i buried our 3/4 ton 4wd gmc. called the neighbor and told him to bring his tractor. he brought his 3/4 ton ford 4wd and buried it about 20' in front of my truck. then he went and got his tractor and eventually pushed and then pulled the trucks out.

take home lesson: diesels are obviously much heavier than gas engines and will cause the front end to bury itself much faster.

oh yeah, guess i should mention it was 10 pm and raining cats and dogs.
